Sustainability

In a world where sustainability has become a shared responsibility, Redsys is committed to being an active part of the change.

The consolidation of our sustainability plans over the last 6 years has allowed us to establish a framework for action integrating the dimensions of sustainable environmental, social and governance (ESG) management, both in our corporate management and in our daily operations, services and products.

The transition from Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to Sustainability integrates us into a holistic approach by embracing the issue transversally. Our strategy is based on ISO 26000 and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, establishing a coherent framework of action that governs our modus operandi, considering global needs.

Transparency and accountability are fundamental to Redsys. That is why we report our sustainability performance on an annual basis through the Non-Financial Information Statement (NFS), which not only reports the legal reporting requirements, but also includes issues that add value to the report.

On the environmental side, our achievements include a 16.85% decrease in water consumption compared to the previous year, as well as a 1.13% reduction in electricity consumption, demonstrating our commitment to environmental sustainability, energy efficiency and responsible consumption of resources. More focused on our business, digitalisation has become a key factor in the transition to a more sustainable model. The Paperless or Zero Paper project is particularly noteworthy, which aims to digitise 100% of payment services in physical establishments, reducing the amount of printed paper. To this end, concrete measures have been implemented, such as the inhibition of the customer's receipt, as well as that of the merchant, providing the latter with the option of viewing it digitally from their mobile applications and home banking platforms. In 2024, 1 in 3 merchants did not ask for the ticket to be printed.

In the social sphere, we aim to continue to generate a positive impact, making human rights an essential element of our corporate management, materialising this commitment through various policies, manifestos and guidelines. Accessibility is one example and, to this end, we have been working together with banking entities to ensure an efficient sensory channel accessible to people with visual functional diversity. In this sense, Redsys has been working with ONCE to review the accessibility of its services.

This would not be possible without strong governance, whereby we act responsibly, transparently and effectively, considering not only our economic performance, but also the impact our decisions have on the environment and society.

In short, we aim to move together towards a sustainable future, where companies drive constant improvement, setting increasingly demanding targets, demonstrating a real commitment.
